Send a message urging the EPA to end the use of these deadly pesticides and save our pollinators, our health, and the future of our food supply.
The future of our food supply relies on bees and other vital pollinators, but they’re dying at an alarming rate, with scientists pointing to a deluge of toxic pesticides called neonics as the main culprit.
If bee populations continue their collapse, we could see rising food costs and reduced access to healthy foods, which would hit low-income communities and communities of color hardest.
Plus, there’s growing evidence of the harm neonics cause to human health, with studies showing that neonic exposure during pregnancy was associated with elevated risks for birth defects affecting the heart and brain, and other neurological conditions.
Soon, the EPA will complete a once-in-fifteen-year hazard review of neonics. It’s our chance to ratchet up the pressure and demand that the EPA ban bee-killing uses of these toxic chemicals once and for all.
