While last year’s landmark climate legislation – the Inflation Reduction Act – was the most sweeping law ever created in the U.S. there’s still more to be done to confront the climate crisis.

Climate action can't wait – I'm counting on you to prioritize the following to secure our clean energy future:

* Sufficiently fund the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act, the strongest climate action ever taken in U.S. history 
 
* Secure strong federal rules and safeguards to reduce power plant pollution, a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions, and other pollutants that plague the health of all, especially disadvantaged communities 
 
* Prioritize increasing the adoption of and access to zero-emission electric vehicles and clean cars 
 
* Block new oil and gas drilling on our public lands and in our coastal waters, all while expanding clean energy

This is just a portion of what can and should be done on climate and clean energy. Even in the wake of Congress passing the Inflation Reduction Act, nearly two-thirds of the country - 62 percent - still want Washington to do more to fight climate change.
