Tell the Fish and Wildlife Service to grant urgently-needed protections to monarch butterflies and their habitat.

Iconic monarch butterflies are facing more dangers than ever — in addition to habitat loss, climate change, and pesticides like glyphosate, we now know they are gravely threatened by toxic “neonic” pesticides.
These are the same pesticides that are responsible for the alarming decline of bees and other pollinators and that threaten our food supply and our health.
Under the Biden administration, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) took a major step toward protecting monarchs — they proposed listing the monarch butterfly as “threatened” and designating critical habitat for the species under the Endangered Species Act, making their homes safer.
Now it’s up to us to show the Trump administration that there’s massive public support for protecting monarchs and other pollinators from dangerous pesticides — and we won’t stand by and watch this vital species be driven to the brink of extinction.
The FWS invited public comments on this proposal, and that comment period is still open — but only until March 12.
