The Trump administration and unelected billionaire Elon Musk have launched an unprecedented all-out assault on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protections.

In response to an executive order from Trump, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin recommended striking down EPA’s finding that climate change endangers human health and welfare. In his first days in office, Trump also issued executive orders gutting protections for clean air and water in service to the fossil fuel industry and repealing vital safeguards that protect us from cancer-causing chemicals and lead in our drinking water.

At the same time, the administration, backed by Musk and his DOGE team, slashed funding, said they plan to cut 65% of the EPA's staff and budget, and completely dismantled the agency’s environmental justice office, which did vital work protecting communities most harmed by pollution in the past from more toxic contaminants, dangerous air, and unsafe water.

None of this is a surprise: These actions are clearly laid out in Project 2025, the administration’s blueprint for environmental destruction. And they’re just getting started.

Congress needs to step up to keep President Trump in check — and block the destruction of this essential environmental agency at all costs. But your lawmakers need to feel pressure from their constituents like you.

We need your help — urge your members of Congress to stand strong and defend the EPA.
