Anti-environmental members of Congress are introducing legislation that guts life-saving marine mammal protections and research — all to pave the way for corporations to get richer while polluting our waters where dolphins, whales, and other imperiled wildlife live.

If disastrous legislation is passed, our water-loving creatures will be unnecessarily killed or injured by entanglements in fishing gear that are already driving the endangered North Atlantic right whales towards extinction. And it would mean more boat strikes and other disturbances like deafening seismic blasting for offshore drilling.
