Submit a public comment opposing the Trump administration’s plan to repeal the vital Public Lands Rule.

The Trump administration’s Interior Department is attempting to repeal crucial conservation protections for 245 million acres of America’s public lands, a move that opens these lands up to unchecked mining, logging, and oil and gas development.
The administration is taking public comments on this disastrous proposal. We must speak out against their plan NOW.
The proposed repeal of this rule, called the Public Lands Rule, prioritizes corporate interests over clean drinking water, local communities, and imperiled wildlife. It also undermines our ability to prepare for and adapt to the growing threats of drought, wildfire, and climate change.
And it deprives the American people of opportunities to experience these magnificent places and keep them protected for future generations: Recreation on these lands supports local economies, helping to contribute to the recreation industry’s more than $1.2 trillion in annual economic output, which far outpaces oil, gas, and mining.
