Tell your senator to vote YES on the Home Energy Choice Act
In California, gas utility customers are paying a whopping 48% more than they did five years ago.
The California State Assembly just passed legislation that would help lower those costs — and it’s now moving to the Senate for a vote. Your lawmakers need to hear from you now.
The Home Energy Choice Act (AB 2313) would give California homeowners the option to cut costs by electrifying their homes. Instead of automatically installing new gas lines when it's time to replace aging ones, Californians could choose to receive significant funds instead for electric appliances and upgrades to their homes.
This is not only better for our climate and our wallets, it’s better for our health. Gas appliances are a significant source of deadly carbon monoxide and indoor air pollutants linked to asthma, heart disease, and respiratory illness.
Don’t let gas companies lock you into volatile fossil fuel prices, air pollution, and ever rising utility bills. Tell your state senator to give Californians a say in how they power their home.
