New offshore wind development plans are underway that will help reach our national climate goals — but those same ocean waters are home to the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. These whales are in precarious straits, with fewer than 340 individuals remaining.

The Biden administration’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a draft strategy to protect North Atlantic right whales while responsibly pursuing offshore wind development. Submit a public comment thanking them and urging them to strengthen the plan.
