Tell the Trump administration: Our public lands are not for sale

Make your voice heard: Sign this petition to tell Interior Secretary Doug Burgum our public lands are not for sale.
Dear Secretary Burgum,
I strongly oppose your office’s Secretarial Orders prioritizing corporate polluters over imperiled wildlife and public lands (and the millions of people who cherish these places!). These directives propose dismantling decades of conservation progress and opening millions of acres of protected wilderness, national monuments, and fragile ecosystems to fossil fuel extraction, mining, and other destructive industries.
If implemented these orders could:
- Eliminate conservation protections for millions of acres of forests, deserts, grasslands, and canyons — threatening vital ecosystems, clean water sources, and critical wildlife habitats
- Open iconic national monuments like Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Baaj Nwavjo I’tah Kukveni-Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon to drilling and mining — permanently scarring lands that hold deep cultural, historical, and ecological significance
- Open millions of acres in Alaska’s Arctic to drilling — threatening polar bears, snowy owls, caribou, and one of the last truly wild places on Earth.
I urge you to end these reckless attacks immediately and uphold protections for our nation’s public lands, wildlife, and national heritage. These lands belong to the public — not to the fossil fuel industry.
