Stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline!

The Mountain Valley Pipeline is slated to run through West Virginia and Virginia, and extend into North Carolina, and has already wreaked havoc upon the region’s water and other natural resources.

None of these states need its dirty fracked gas, and the financial, environmental, and health costs are too high. And these costs would fall squarely on our frontline communities.

We must spread the word and do everything we can to stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline in its tracks.

Mountain Valley Pipeline

The Mountain Valley Pipeline is slated to run through West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, and has already wreaked havoc upon our region’s water and other natural resources.

None of these states need its dirty fracked gas, and its cost — financially and environmentally — is far too high.

Construction on the Mountain Valley Pipeline is more than four years behind schedule and vastly overbudget by at least $3 billion. If finished, the gas flowing through the pipeline would have an annual climate footprint equal to the output of 23 U.S. coal plants or 19 million passenger vehicles driven every year.

With another pipeline already serving the region, there’s no consumer need for this dirty fracked gas. And to slow the worst effects of climate change, we need to drastically reduce our polluting emissions — not increase them. Our planet can’t afford it. And the worst health and financial costs would fall squarely on our frontline and low-income communities.
