13 million acres of Alaska’s Arctic Reserve have just received maximum protection from the Biden administration, putting the health of people, our climate, and our planet above oil industry profits. But the fossil fuel industry is relentlessly attempting to exploit the Arctic region. We cannot allow their agenda to prevail.

13 million acres of Alaska’s Arctic Reserve have just received maximum protection from the Biden administration. This unprecedented action puts the health of our people, our climate, and our planet above oil industry profits.

The Arctic is warming more than four times as fast as the rest of the planet. Prioritizing communities and protecting imperiled wildlife over drilling in the Arctic Reserve is a key step to reducing climate-busting carbon pollution to the levels we need to avert climate catastrophe.

Yet the fossil fuel industry, including oil giant ConocoPhillips, and its allies are relentlessly attempting to exploit the Arctic region, risking irreparable harm and devastation. We cannot allow their agenda to prevail.
